Zachary M. Kafoglis has 30 years of experience as a family litigation & mediation attorney guiding individuals and families through the crisis of divorce. Since moving from Kentucky to the Land of Lincoln in 2010, Mr. Kafoglis has established a reputation of honesty and integrity. He has worked with some of the most preeminent family law firms in the country and established himself as a leading family lawyer.

Mr. Kafoglis represents clients in all areas of family law including divorce, property division, custody, child support, paternity, domestic violence and the preparation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Mr. Kafoglis represents clients in the most complex family law disputes through litigation and through Collaborative Law and Mediation if litigation is not in the best interest of the client.

Mr. Kafoglis began his career in Family Law litigation and in the demanding and litigious areas of Personal Injury Law, Criminal Defense, and Probate and Estate Law. He successfully litigated hundreds of cases through jury and bench trials, but he also was instrumental in helping clients negotiate settlements. He attributes his trial and negotiation success to hard work, ethics and his ability to properly analyze the legal issues involved.

Mr. Kafoglis is currently Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association Domestic Relations sub-committee on Collaborative Law and has held professional leadership positions throughout his career. He is also known for his community involvement and has served as the Chairman of his local United Way, Chairman of his Chamber of Commerce leadership training program, and Chairman of his church board.

In May 2016, Mr. Kafoglis had the opportunity to join the highly respected and growing law firm, Katz & Stefani, in Chicago. He looks forward to the new and exciting endeavor.
